Mexico rehab prices vary widely even among the few programs that post one. As of 31 October 2026 we had read 13 program pages and only four showed a price, so this is a small sample of what programs publish, not a survey of the market. Converted to a rough daily rate, those four programs' base prices run from about $100 to about $444 a day, or from $3,000 for 30 days at one program to $120,000 for a year at another. These are the programs' own statements, not quotes, and they cover general residential addiction programs only. This page shows what was published, why the numbers are hard to compare and what a price leaves out. It does not rank or recommend any program.
What four programs publish
All figures are in US dollars as the page states them, except where noted. Each is a provider statement read on 31 October 2026 and may have changed.
| Program | Published price | Unit and length | What the page says is included |
|---|---|---|---|
| Despertares Baja Recovery (Tijuana) | $3,000 to $3,500 | 30-day residential program (the page's opening section says per month) | Medical detox, 24-hour nursing, individual and family therapy, aftercare and telehealth, lodging and food. Final price confirmed after a clinical evaluation. |
| Tranquil Hearts (Mérida) | $6,000 a month in a shared room, $13,000 a month in a private room | Per month. Stays are "typically 30 to 45 days minimum"; the center recommends at least two months | Rates not itemized; the page describes private suites and 24-hour on-site medical staff. |
| Oceánica (Mazatlán) | $180 to $240 | Per day; currency and length not stated | Not stated. |
| Mind-U (Baja California) | $15,000 for 35 days, $40,000 for 90 days, $70,000 for 6 months, $120,000 for 1 year | By program length | Not listed on the pricing page. Scholarships of up to 60 percent based on financial need. |
Four is a small number. These programs were already in our research files and were not chosen at random, so the table says what these four publish and nothing about the market as a whole.
Why the numbers are hard to compare
The units differ. Oceánica quotes a day, Tranquil Hearts a month, Mind-U a program. Dividing each base price by its length, and counting a month as 30 days, gives rough daily rates:
- Despertares: $3,000 to $3,500 over 30 days is about $100 to $117 a day.
- Tranquil Hearts: $6,000 over 30 days is about $200 a day shared, and $13,000 over 30 days is about $433 private.
- Oceánica: $180 to $240 a day as published.
- Mind-U: $15,000 over 35 days is about $429 a day, and $40,000 over 90 days is about $444. Over 180 days (6 months) $70,000 is about $389, and over 360 days (12 months) $120,000 is about $333.
On these figures the highest rough daily rate is Mind-U's 90-day program at about $444, and the highest published base price is Mind-U's $120,000 for a year. This is arithmetic on published base prices. It ignores anything billed separately, so it is a way to line up units, not a prediction of what a stay costs.
What the pages say, and what we infer
No page we read explains why its price is what it is. The points below are our reading of the table. Where a page states a fact, we say so.
- Room type (stated by the page, link to price is our reading). Tranquil Hearts publishes two packages, a shared room and a private room, and the private one costs more than twice as much.
- Length (our reading of the arithmetic). Mind-U's 6-month and 1-year programs cost more in total than its 90-day program but work out lower per day, so a lower daily figure does not mean a cheaper stay.
- What the monthly rate really is (stated by the page). A monthly rate is not a total. Tranquil Hearts says stays typically last at least 30 to 45 days and recommends two months, so the total is more than one month's rate.
- What is bundled (stated by one page). Despertares says detox, nursing and aftercare are in its price. The other three do not itemize, which makes a lower number hard to compare with a higher one. Amenities may also differ, but none of the pages ties an amenity to a price.
- Evaluation first (stated by the page). Despertares says a clinical evaluation confirms the level of care and the final price before admission.
- Financial help (stated by the page). Mind-U says it offers scholarships of up to 60 percent based on financial need and that prices can change without notice.
Most programs we read published no price
Of 13 programs whose pages were read by 31 October 2026, four showed a price and nine did not. One example is Baja Rehab, whose lower-cost program page gives no dollar figure. It says the program has a minimum stay of 120 days, with options of four, six, nine or thirteen months, and that it is cash pay and does not accept insurance. A price may exist on another page or by phone. That absence is also information: for many programs the only way to learn the cost is to ask in writing.
What a published price does not tell you
- Licensing and oversight. A price says nothing about whether a program is recognized. Mexico's CONASAMA publishes a directory of residential establishments that follow the minimum requirements of current rules, and says the directory is not a promotion of their services. Recognition is not an endorsement either.
- Quality, safety and results. None of the pages read proves how well a program works for any person.
- Insurance. Programs describe their insurance terms differently, and these are their own claims. Oceánica's page says it is in network with most major insurance providers and that it verifies coverage. Mind-U says it is private-pay and does not bill insurance directly, although it says many PPO plans offer out-of-network reimbursement. Baja Rehab says insurance is not accepted. Despertares lists a "Superbill para tu seguro" and does not say whether it accepts insurance. The other pages read state no insurance terms. We did not check any of these statements with an insurer or a program, and none says what a plan will pay. Ask your insurer, in writing, before you travel.
- Extras. Travel, medication beyond the package, extra days and outside medical care may or may not be inside the price.
The inpatient vs outpatient guide explains how the setting affects what a program provides, and the center directory lists programs in Mexico for comparison. A directory listing is not a recommendation.
How this page was built
We read each program's own pages on 30 and 31 October 2026 and recorded only what they said. We did not contact any program, obtain a quote or use broker sites that quote ranges. Prices change, so confirm any figure in writing. This guide does not diagnose, choose a treatment setting or promise any outcome. A licensed clinician can help with those decisions.
