Program Structure

The program moves through withdrawal support, New Life Detoxification, Objectives exercises and Life Skills courses. Its methods and coursework draw on the writings of L. Ron Hubbard, the founder of Scientology.

Practical coursework focuses on personal values, decision-making, communication and everyday responsibilities.

Withdrawal Support

Withdrawal specialists provide personal support around the clock during the withdrawal stage. Staff monitor sleep, food, fluid intake and general progress.

Support includes gentle physical techniques called assists and exercises that direct attention toward the present environment. Vitamins and minerals are part of the withdrawal support regimen.

Sauna and Nutritional Regimen

New Life Detoxification combines exercise, dry-heat sauna sessions, hydration and a nutritional regimen. Exercise includes running as part of this program stage.

The supplement regimen includes niacin, gradually increased during the program, along with other vitamins, minerals and oils. Water and electrolytes form part of the hydration routine.

The program schedule also provides time for sleep and rest.

Life Skills and Everyday Preparation

Objectives exercises practice communication and attention to present surroundings. Overcoming Ups and Downs in Life examines influences on everyday well-being and patterns in relationships.

Personal Values works on choices, obligations and personal responsibility. Changing Conditions in Life addresses relationships, work and practical problems when preparing to return home.

Instructional films demonstrate the theory and procedures used in the Narconon program.

Accommodation and Facilities

Residential accommodation is arranged in separate cabins. Each cabin has its own bathroom.

Cabins also have a living room. The administration building contains offices, classrooms and the sauna.

An outdoor swimming pool is available on the grounds. The gym supports physical activity within the sauna-based program stage.

Daily Life and Family Visits

Classroom study is part of the daily Life Skills program. Three terraces provide places to rest after daily activities and spend time with visiting family members.

Woodland paths and lawns provide outdoor spaces around the residence.

Team and Support

The center’s leadership includes President Diego Corona. Team roles include physicians, support staff and professionals with experience in substance-use counseling and interventions.

Location and Grounds

Narconon Puebla is located outside Huauchinango in the Sierra Norte de Puebla. Its hillside setting includes woods and views toward the lake formed by Necaxa Dam.
