Approach and Stages of Care
The program combines medical support, psychiatric care, counseling, recovery education and daily routines in a secured residential setting. Its four-stage model progresses from initial awareness and stabilization toward greater independence. Later stages include partial hospitalization (PHP) and intensive outpatient (IOP) formats.
Participation in a stage or activity is assessed individually.
Family Participation
Family counseling is available at the center and through online sessions. Families can take part in conversations about treatment and continued support.
Aftercare and Continued Support
A separate outpatient aftercare option provides weekly individual therapy following a residential stay. Planning for continued care can include outpatient programs, extended support and sober-living options in the Baja California and San Diego areas. Some continuing-care arrangements may involve another provider.
Accommodation and Facilities
Residential spaces include shared bedrooms with single beds and bunk beds, bathrooms, a dining room, a kitchen and furnished common rooms. Indoor group rooms provide seating for meetings and counseling activities.
Outdoor spaces include landscaped courtyards, garden paths, covered seating, exercise equipment and a large chessboard.
Baja House is a separate men's residence about one mile from the main campus, with daily shuttles for treatment. Access depends on progression through the program; it is not the standard arrival accommodation. Its shared rooms generally accommodate two or three residents.
Daily Life and Activities
A typical schedule combines morning exercise, group sessions, meals, individual work and evening recovery meetings. Activities include yoga, sports and outdoor walks. Creative activities and off-site outings may vary with weather, scheduling and participation requirements.
Clinical Team
Medical, psychiatric and nursing staff work alongside therapists and counselors. The medical team supports detox and early treatment, while counseling staff lead individual and group work.
